Science is the great antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition.
– Adam Smith (1723-90) Scottish economist.
This is day 2 of experiment #1, which is trying to answer the question “Will I gain body fat if I eat more calories than I expend daily?” First, let’s look at the body measurements from today.
Body Measurements | |
---|---|
Body Weight | 190.6 lbs |
Body Fat (Impedance Scale) | 13% |
Body Fat (Skinfold Calipers) | 11.26% |
Body Fat (Average) | 12.13% |
Lean Body Mass (From Average Body Fat %) | 167.48 lbs |
Fat Mass (From Average Body Fat %) | 23.12 lbs |
So it seems like the extra 300 calories from yesterday did not make a big dent in the numbers. Interesting… let’s see if the trend stays the same as the experiment progresses. Here is the food and exercise log for today. I developed some pain in my feet from running constantly the last couple of weeks, so instead of running today I did some stationary bicycling.
